Successful flight of the Probe-02
I am proud to announce that on the 11th of November, the flight of the newest probe, i.e. the “Probe-02” was successfully completed. The start took place from Sobótka near Wrocław at 09:08:47. At 10:58:17 the probe reached its maximum altitude of approx. 27.8 km. The touchdown took place at 11:56:02 near the town of Olesno. 27 minutes later, the probe was picked up by a chasing team.
This time, there was on board spectrometer, sensors that analysed the UV index and the intensity of UV radiation. The probe was equipped with an air quality sensor that measured pollution. Additionally, data was collected by GPS, accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer and several sensors for temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure. A test of determining the flight altitude was also carried out on the basis of data from pressure sensors and the US Standard Atmosphere 1976 model.
The launch of the probe and the search mission were organized jointly with the WroSpace association (https://wrospace.pl/) under the leadership of Włodzimierz Tarnowski.
