Stratospheric Probe
If you have ever wondered if it is possible to have near-space-experience? We, together with Mateusz Bartoszewski, have. That is the reason we started this project.
I am proud to announce that under the scope of desire to expand space engineering and space environment related knowledge, we have developed our first stratospheric probe: the Probe-01.
The Probe-01 has been designed in order to meet harsh environment requirements, which the device will have to face at 30-40 kilometres altitude. Lightweight chassis has been prepared with Styrofoam covered in special heat-insulating, infrared-reflective, shiny material derived from the space technology.
The Probe-01, using an onboard computer, will be able to record more than 40 physical parameters, including gamma radiation, temperature, humidity, magnetic field distribution flight dynamics data and many more.
This “stratocraft” launch date is planned to be placed in March 2020, somewhere near Wroclaw, with a hydrogen filled, mission dedicated meteorological balloon. It is predicted that it will reach probably up to forty kilometres above ground.
The Probe-01 has already passed unit tests with success, and have been qualified it for next tests, i.e. temperature and environmental stress test.
We will share more information soon…
